Description of Services
YourTherapyMatch (“YTM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a technology platform that connects patients with independent mental health professionals.
YTM provides:
- therapist profile visibility
- patient-professional matching
- scheduling infrastructure
- communication tools
- marketing and promotional services
- payment facilitation
YTM does not directly provide licensed clinical services and operates solely as a technology platform facilitating connections between users and independent professionals.
All therapy, counseling, psychological care, diagnoses, treatment decisions, and professional services are provided exclusively by independent professionals using the platform.
Eligibility
By using the platform, users confirm that:
- they are at least 18 years old, or
- they have legal parental or guardian consent where applicable.
Users agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating accounts or booking services.
Telehealth Acknowledgment
By using YTM and booking virtual sessions, users acknowledge and accept the limitations, risks, and technical challenges associated with telehealth and digital communications.
Session Privacy
Users and Professionals agree not to record, reproduce, distribute, publish, livestream, or share therapy sessions, platform communications, or confidential interactions without the explicit consent of all participating parties, except where required by law.
User Accounts
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and account activity.
Users are responsible for all activity occurring under their accounts.
YTM reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that:
- violate these Terms
- provide false information
- engage in abusive behavior
- misuse the platform
- create security risks
Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- harass or abuse others
- impersonate another person
- submit false information
- violate laws or regulations
- misuse the platform
- distribute malicious software
- engage in fraudulent or harmful activities
YTM reserves the right to remove content or terminate accounts violating these rules.
Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
YourTherapyMatch may provide access to crisis support resources, urgent mental health assistance channels, or therapist availability for emotional support purposes.
However:
- YTM is not a hospital
- not an emergency response provider
- and not a crisis intervention center
YTM cannot guarantee immediate assistance, therapist availability, emergency intervention, or real-time crisis response.
YTM does not actively monitor user communications, emotional states, therapy sessions, or crisis indicators in real time.
Availability may vary depending on therapist capacity, time zone, and operational limitations.
If users are experiencing:
- suicidal thoughts
- risk of self-harm
- danger to themselves or others
- medical emergencies
- urgent psychological crises
they should immediately contact local emergency services or qualified emergency care providers.
No Guarantee of Results
YTM does not guarantee:
- therapeutic outcomes
- emotional improvement
- compatibility between users and therapists
- appointment availability
- specific results from any professional relationship
Therapeutic experiences and outcomes vary between individuals.
Matching recommendations, questionnaires, or platform suggestions do not constitute clinical diagnoses, medical advice, or guarantees of therapeutic compatibility.
Intellectual Property
All platform content, branding, logos, designs, software, matching methodologies, recommendation systems, questionnaires, workflows, platform logic, and related materials are owned by or licensed to YTM.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially use platform materials without prior written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YTM shall not be liable for:
- therapist conduct
- professional advice
- treatment decisions
- emotional distress
- missed appointments
- platform interruptions
- data loss
- indirect damages
- outcomes resulting from use of the platform
Users access and use the platform at their own discretion and risk.
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, disputes shall be resolved individually and not through class, collective, or representative actions.
Parties agree to attempt informal resolution before initiating formal legal proceedings.
Users waive any right to participate in class actions, collective claims, or representative proceedings against YTM to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Pricing Policy
Session pricing is automatically calculated based on the selected appointment time slot.
- Sessions scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:59 PM are billed at $30 USD.
- Sessions scheduled between 6:00 PM and 9:59 PM are billed at $60 USD.
- Sessions scheduled between 10:00 PM and 7:59 AM are billed at $90 USD.
By booking a session through YTM, users acknowledge and agree to the pricing applicable to their selected time slot at the time of booking.
Platform Modifications
YTM reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any part of the platform, features, services, pricing structures, or policies at any time without prior notice.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Colombia.
Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bogotá, Colombia.
Incorporated Policies
These Terms & Conditions incorporate by reference YTM’s Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, Therapist Agreement, and any additional platform guidelines or policies published by YTM.

YTM — CANCELLATION POLICY
Rescheduling Requests
Patients may reschedule appointments if the cancellation or rescheduling request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session time.
Refunds
Payments are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in platform policies.
The amount paid may be applied toward a rescheduled session where applicable.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows
If a cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the session, or if the patient does not attend the appointment, the payment may be forfeited.
No refunds, credits, or transfers may be issued for:
- late cancellations
- missed appointments
- no-shows
Emergency Situations
YTM reserves the right to review emergency situations on a case-by-case basis.
Agreement
By booking through YTM, users acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation Policy.
YTM — PRIVACY POLICY
Information Collected
YTM may collect:
- account information
- intake form responses
- journal entries
- appointment information
- communications
- payment-related information
- platform usage data
Sensitive Data
Mental health information and journal content may be considered sensitive personal data and will be handled according to applicable privacy laws.
Use of Information
Information may be used for:
- patient-professional matching
- scheduling
- communications
- analytics
- platform functionality
- service improvement
- safety purposes
Third-Party Providers
YTM may use third-party providers for:
- payments
- hosting
- analytics
- communications
- infrastructure services
Security
YTM implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user information.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and YTM cannot guarantee absolute security.
User Rights
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where permitted by applicable law.

YTM — THERAPIST AGREEMENT
Independent Contractor Relationship
Therapists using YTM are independent professionals and are not employees, representatives, agents, or partners of YTM.
The relationship between YTM and therapists is strictly independent and does not create employment, agency, or partnership relationships.
Professional Responsibilities
Therapists are solely responsible for:
- licenses
- certifications
- therapeutic methods
- legal compliance
- treatment decisions
- diagnoses
- patient care
- professional conduct
YTM does not supervise or control clinical decisions or therapeutic outcomes.
Professional Availability
Therapists are responsible for maintaining reasonable responsiveness, availability accuracy, and professional communication standards while using the platform.
Platform Communications
Professionals agree to maintain communications, scheduling, session management, and patient interactions exclusively through YTM-approved platform channels unless otherwise authorized by YTM or required for clinical or emergency purposes.
Professionals may not request, redirect, or encourage patients to move communications, bookings, payments, or therapeutic services outside the platform.
YTM reserves the right to restrict or terminate accounts that violate these communication policies.
Non-Circumvention
Patients and Professionals agree not to intentionally bypass the platform for the purpose of avoiding platform fees, commissions, scheduling systems, platform protections, or infrastructure provided by YTM.
Therapists may not solicit, redirect, transfer, or continue providing services outside the platform to patients originally obtained through YTM without prior written authorization from YTM.
YTM reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in circumvention activities.
Verification
YTM may request licenses, certifications, educational credentials, identification documents, or other professional information from therapists.
However, YTM does not independently guarantee the validity, legality, accuracy, or current standing of every credential at all times.
Users are encouraged to independently evaluate whether a therapist is appropriate for their needs.
Accuracy of Information
Therapists represent and warrant that all licenses, certifications, professional credentials, and submitted information are accurate, current, and legally valid.
Fees and Platform Access
YTM may charge therapists percentage-based platform fees for:
- profile visibility
- patient acquisition
- marketing exposure
- scheduling systems
- infrastructure
- platform-related services
All fees, pricing structures, and platform access conditions may be updated by YTM at any time.
Termination
YTM reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate therapist access for:
- policy violations
- misconduct
- fraudulent activity
- circumvention
- security concerns
- legal compliance issues
Confidentiality
Therapists agree to comply with confidentiality obligations and applicable ethical and legal standards regarding patient information.
