I’m Sofía Montalvo, a Colombian psychologist with a dual background in Psychology and Anthropology from Universidad de los Andes. I also have a specialization in Social Psychology, International Cooperation and Community Management from Universidad El Bosque, and am currently completing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. I have over four years of experience in private practice, supporting clients through grief, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and personal growth.
My clinical approach is a combination of different techniques including CBT and Systemic Therapy, with a focus on building self-awareness, emotional tools, and meaningful change. I have also worked in psychiatric and community settings, bringing a broad and culturally sensitive perspective to my therapy. I work in a collaborative manner with my clients, at their pace, to build insight, trust and develop practical tools for the challenges they’re facing. I believe therapy is a space for honest, non-judgmental exploration, and I’m committed to making that space feel safe, warm, and genuinely useful.
